Hands-Free with Bluetooth
Volvo`s voice controlled Handsfree kit with Bluetooth is a versatile and easy way to speak on your mobile phone at the same time as sitting in the car. The handsfree system is also a legal requirement on many markets.
The basic kit includes a `lapel` type microphone.

The system is very easy to use. Just press the button in the middle and Volvo`s handsfree Bluetooth system will listen to your orders.
The system has good sound with interference reduction which gives good call experience. During incoming and outgoing calls the volume is automatically attenuated in the car`s audio and RTI navigation system, does NOT apply to portable navigation.
The voice-controlled menu can be used to adjust settings, request system help, accept/reject incoming calls, call someone by speaking the phone number, call a contact who has been stored in the system - 50 contacts can be stored. You can also call up a number using voice bookmark which has been stored in the telephone.
The system has voice recognition in several different languages, such as Swedish, English, (US and UK), French (EU), Spanish (US and EU), Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese (Mandarin, Shanghai/Beijing dialects).
The Volvo hands-free system with Bluetooth supports most cellular phones with Bluetooth handsfree profile. Your phone must be equipped with this function. Contact your cellular phone supplier if you are unsure.
Before using the system, you must add the mobile phone to the system. After this, the mobile phone always activates handsfree when the car is started. If you leave the car before the call is over, it is transferred automatically, with a certain delay, to your mobile phone.
With the `forgotten device` function the system automatically searches for the most recently connected mobile telephone when the car is switched on. If this is not found the handsfree system will alert you to the fact that you might have forgotten your mobile telephone
